Student First Aid
Who is this for?
The Government has introduced mandatory basic first aid training in all state-funded secondary schools in England. This training is part of relationships education, relationships and sex education (RSE), and health education, with the aim being that all pupils will have been taught basic first aid skills by the time they leave secondary school.
What will be covered?
A range of subjects are covered, including:
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Safe use of an AED
- The recovery position
- Choking
- Small cuts and grazes
- Bruises
- Nosebleeds
- Minor burns and scalds
- Fractures or dislocations
- Sprains or strains
How will Inspire First Training deliver the course?
We can provide your facilitated session on-site at your premises, giving you flexibility, or alteratively at our preferred venue.
This course is typically delivered over 3 hours (Half a day).

Who is the awarding body?
This qualification is regulated in the UK and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA).
