First Aid at Work
Who is this for?
It is a requirement of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.
What will be covered?
This qualification is designed to provide a learner with the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a wide range of first aid situations, with a focus on sports and activity related conditions.
A range of subjects are covered, including:
- Legalities, responsibilities and reporting
- Diabetes
- Heart attacks
- Shock (including Anaphylaxis)
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Asthma
- Eye injuries
- Head injuries
- Fractures and spinal injuries
- Poisoning
- Choking
- Sprains and strains
- Control of bleeding
- Stroke
- Chest injuries
- Burns
- Assessment of the situation
- Epilepsy
- Bandaging
- Resuscitation
How will Inspire First Training deliver the course?
We can provide your facilitated session on-site at your premises, giving you flexibility, or alteratively at our preferred venue.
This course is typically delivered over 18 hours (3 days).
